NEDA RUSJAN BRIC

**Artistic adviser

Neda Rusjan Bric (also Neda R. Bric) was born in Slovenia, in the town of Šempeter pri Gorici on the border with Italy. She received her BFA in theatre acting and a master’s degree (MA) in Theatre directing, both from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana.

She works as a theatre director, author, and actress in national and international co-productions in Slovenia and abroad. She writes for TV and radio, theatre plays, children’s books, and screenplays. She is a professor of screenwriting at the School of Arts, University of Nova Gorica. She has served as both the general and artistic manager of the Slovenian National Theatre in Nova Gorica. She has also organized numerous significant events such as state celebrations, inaugurations, and the opening of the renovated National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ljubljana.

She was the initiator and head of the candidacy team for European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica – Gorizia 2025, which won the title in December 2020. Since then, she has been the artistic director and currently serves as an artistic adviser for the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025.

She collaborates with MN dance company and MN international ensemble as an artistic adviser, director of performances, and organizer of special gala events.
